As with any fastpitch softball tournament, the skill level of various teams can range quite a bit, even within the same level (A, B, or C). Even when you don’t win a particular game, you gain the benefit of facing stronger talent. At a minimum, this guides your individual and collective (team) training effort level.
At a certain point after appropriate training and hours per week are met, a team’s competitiveness ultimately hinges on player ability. How well are the fundamentals executed? Fielding, throwing, hitting, pitching, base running, awareness all matter up and down the lineup.
