Drop-In & Tryout Registration

10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U players seeking to train or experience a travel softball practice are welcome. We can accommodate a limited number of non-rostered players per practice. Dropping into a practice for roster consideration allows for a deeper assessment of a player as opposed to the cattle call of open tryouts in July.

Annual tryouts in July of each year are free.

Open tryouts for 2025-2026 are July 18th and July 19th in Exton, PA. Prospects only have to attend one session.

Outdoor practice drop-ins are free.

Practice drop-in cost is $35 for indoor practices during Winter training. Payment can be made via Venmo to: @DowningtownWestGirlsAthletics.

What can you expect at practice?

Practices are based on developmental need at the given time. In general, however, you will see the following depending on the day:

Jog, Stretch, Catch
Hitting – Tee, Soft/Side Toss, Microball, Pitching machine, Pitcher live pitch
Pitching
Infield
Outfield
Position-specific training (e.g. Catcher, 1B, middle infield, outfield)
Baserunning
