Fall Storytelling 10C Tournament Details
This is a one-day, 2 guaranteed game (2GG), outdoor, 10C softball tournament. Why tie up an entire weekend in a tournament? Parents will appreciate the one-day tournament. With this double-elimination bracket tournament, one team will play four games. Two teams will play three games. One team will play two games.

Game MVPs
At the end of each game, each team will award an MVP medal to a player on the opposing team. This should be the girls’ vote, not the coaching staff. If you’ve played a USSSA pool game, this is similar. We’ve found this to be very positive for the girls and typically a different perspective than the coaches’.
Fall Storytelling
In addition to competing for hardware (a.k.a. trophies or medals), individual players will also be competing for the best book summary presented as a story during story time. Story time will be in between a team’s games. The players voted as best storyteller by their peers will compete in a run-off story time for best in tournament.
This is a good use of down time between games. More importantly, it provides incentive for girls to continue reading for fun.
Best storyteller in each team will receive hardware to recognize their achievement. The four best storytellers compete in the run-off for a Barnes and Noble gift card. (We would give an Amazon gift card but these days that’s less chance that it gets used for more books).
